Preservation Packing

Packaging

Pack-All International has been a leader in the preservation packing industry since 1976, offering innovative, unique packing solutions that keeps our customers returning again and again. This is why we continue to offer a variety of high quality packing materials to ensure your products arrive at their destination safe and undamaged.

Preservation packing includes both shrink wrapping and vacuum packing, as well as other forms of packing such as jar canning, aluminum cans, and other types of protective packages like egg cartons and milk jugs. These packing materials have one goal—keep the product safe, protected, and fresh.

Shrink wrap can be used to pack products such as CD cases or loose notebook papers or you can shrink wrap an entire pallet of packages. It gives products a visual appeal, provides puncture and abrasion protection, as well as impact resistance.

At Pack-All, we use several different types of plastic for the shrink wrapping performed on your equipment/items within a crate, or, if you are only skidding your items, shrink wrap will serve to help stabilize and protect your items on a pallet. Though plastic film seems flimsy, it provides many protective benefits, including:

  • UV-inhibiting wrap that protects products from sun damage.

  • Moisture barrier for humid or wet conditions.

  • A cushion between pallets in storage or shipping.

  • Protection from breakage of fragile items.

  • Ability to be airtight to protect from oxidization.

  • Stabilization of loose items.

Vacuum packing eliminates moisture from the package, has a sleek design, and is a preferred option for perishable goods with a short shelf-life such as food. It involves (manually or automatically) placing items in a plastic film package, removing air from inside, and then sealing the package.

Bubble wrap is another type of preservation packing material that is a lightweight, inexpensive way to cushion your products and provide them with impact protection throughout the shipping process. Regularly spaced, protruding air-filled hemispheres (bubbles) provide cushioning for fragile items. The bubbles that provide the cushioning for fragile or sensitive objects are available in different sizes, depending on the size of the object being packed, as well as the level of cushioning protection that is needed. Multiple layers might be needed to provide shock and vibration isolation.
